In summertime the sun never sets in Bø. You can therefore explore activities and the beauty of the surroundings around the clock, and in wintertime the Aurora Borealis dances across the sparkling night sky. The possibilities are endless, our imagination is the only limit.
In the immediate area you can explore the coastal paths, mountain walks, fishing lakes, ski slopes, chalk-white beaches and forest trails on your own or with a guide. On request we also arrange fishing trips from land or by boat.

SUP board rental
Rent a SUP board, paddle and explore the beautiful waters, beaches and the wonderful coast in Bø. Regardless of experience, these SUP boards are suitable for all levels of SUP paddlers.
A life jacket is included when you rent a SUP board. The board is flat packed and comes with a pump to inflate it, as well as a paddle, fin, etc., all packed in a practical backpack so it's easy to take along.
Price: NOK 450 for a whole day, NOK 100 for an extra life jacket.
Season: Almost all year round. Weather dependent.
RIB trip
Fancy a sea eagle safari? Or do you want to see some of the old fishing villages, such as Barkestad, Tinden or Skipnes?
Book a RIB trip and experience the sea eagles, white beaches and old fishing villages up close.
We can take you to Gaukværøya, one of Vesterålen's largest fishing villages before the Second World War. Here you can watch the bird life, explore the island and enjoy lunch on the beach at the edge of the sea.
If you book an afternoon or evening tour in the summer months and the weather is on your side, you will see the midnight sun bathe in the sea before it disappears on the horizon.

Northern lights safari
Little light pollution and endless hiking opportunities make Bø one of the best starting points to see the majestic northern lights in Vesterålen.
We offer guided tours for groups of 2–7 people.

Moose safari
The guided tours to experience the moose in their element have become very popular. Join a moose safari, and you can see and take pictures up close of the King of the forest!
The moose is the forest's largest mammal, and in Vesterålen there are many roaming around. All year round we keep a close eye on where they stay.
It is also quite likely that you will see other animals during the trip.
Tip: For an extended experience, the guided moose tours can be combined with a midnight sun and northern lights safari.

Animals and midnight sun safari
The midnight sun is a great experience, and in Bø we have endless opportunities to see it with the great sea as backdrop.
How about an extraordinary experience where you get to photograph animals in the midnight sun?
It’s magical to see the animals up close in the midnight sun. Eagles scouting, owls looking for food in the marshes, or otters and seals sunbathing on the rocks by the sea. Most animals are more active and easier to approach at night.
